4-H says thanks for successful auction

Many people had a part in making Industry Appreciation Day a success.

The 4-H Junior Market Livestock Program would like to mention a couple of them. Norm Blakeley seems to be always thinking of a way to use the meat he buys at the 4-H livestock auction.

This year he donated Stephanie Lambe's hog to be barbecued on the day we say thank you to peninsula businesses.

Carrol Martin agreed to do the cooking. The result was very delicious. Mr. Blakeley has consistently volunteered his time as auctioneer for the 4-H auction. Carrol Martin has barbecued meat for years. We would like to say thank you to these two community-minded gentlemen who care about others and show it year after year.

Unocal Agricultural Products has always been generous in allowing us to use their barbecue, and this year Country Foods helped store the meat.

Thank you all.
