ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Police have released the name of an Anchorage man who died early Monday when he lost control of a stolen car.
Gabriel Blatchford, 22, died after the car rolled and he was ejected. A passenger, Frank Charley, 21, suffered head injuries in the crash. He was taken to Alaska Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police were called by workers at a convenience store after the Geo Tracker came to rest in the store's parking lot.
Police believe alcohol was involved in the crash and that the driver apparently wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from an Anchorage home on Saturday.
