Bible seminar slated

The Soldotna Bible Chapel will host a "Walk Through the Bible New Testament Seminar" at 7 and 9:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m. and noon Saturday at the church at 300 W. Marydale Ave. The cost is $17 per person.

Concepts will be taught by using hand signs, catch phrases and through group reviews. For more information, call the church office at 262-4865.

Coat drive begins

The Soldotna Church of God is seeking donations of coats in good condition and already cleaned beginning Thursday.

The group will hold a free coat give away from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 17 at the church at the corner of Binkley and Redoubt Avenue in Soldotna.

Women's prayer group to meet

The United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai hosts a women's prayer and share group at 7 a.m. Mondays at Charlotte's Restaurant in Kenai. It is open to all women. For more information, call Pastor Marti Slater at 283-7868.

Grief support group to meet

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group.

Women's Bible study continues

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will offer women's Bible study, A Woman's Heart-God's Dwelling Place, by Beth Moore, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

Fall Bible study ongoing

The Soldotna Day Aglow will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Cohoe and Farnsworth behind The Salvation Army store for prayer and Bible study Beloved Disciple, by Beth Moore.

Fellowship and coffee will begin at 9:30 a.m. Baby-sitting will be provided.

Nikiski Aglow meeting set

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Nikiski New Hope Fellowship at Mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship. In October the group will offer a Beth Moore Bible study.

Saturday Bible classes slated

The Nikiski Nazarine Church will hold a women's Bible study at 9 a.m. Saturdays, beginning Oct. 4 at the church at Mile 18 of the Kenai Spur Highway. The eight-week Beth Moore class, titled Stepping up, will be about Psalms. It is open to all women.

Clothes Quarters open

The Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at 225 S. Spruce St. behind Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. The store sells clothes and free trade coffee.
