ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The delinquency rate fell in August on home loans funded by the Alaska Housing Finance Corp., the state lending agency says.
The delinquency rate of 3.71 percent was down from 4.04 percent a year earlier and from 3.73 percent in July, Alaska Housing said.
Among its mobile home loans, the delinquency rate in August was 9.29 percent, down from 11.01 percent a year earlier but up from 8.83 percent in July, AHFC said.
The agency said it held three duplexes and two condos in foreclosure in August, compared with five duplexes and one condo a year earlier.
In all, the agency had 28,668 active loans in August, up 7 percent in a year.
It financed 383 single-family loans in August, or 9 percent more than a year earlier.
