'Dawgs nab second at Houston Invite

Anchorage Christian Schools, behind five individual champions, took the season-opening Houston Invitational Friday and Saturday in wrestling action at Houston Junior-Senior High School.

Nikiski finished second at the meet, tallying 73 points to the Lions' 88. Barrow was third with 67 points, while Bethel finished fourth with 64 points.

The Bulldogs had three individual champions, with Lance Penhale winning at 103, Tab Key winning at 130 and Jared Mazurek winning at 135.

Also from the peninsula, Voznesenka tied for 10th and Ninilchik tied for 13th.
