Rose Clement and Dale Parker of Soldotna were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at the residence of Dewey and Pat Halsey on Denise Lake Road in Soldotna. Larry Huntsperger officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Alick and Ester Fialho of Bombay, India. She if formerly of India and has lived in Soldotna since 1993. She works for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District and Frontier Community Services. She wore a lavender, floor-length gown and veil, a tiara and a black lace bolero jacket with full-length sleeves. She carried a matching flower arrangement.
The groom is the son of Ethel and John Parker. He has lived in Soldotna since 1986 and managed the Marydale Apartments in Soldotna before retiring. He wore a black suit with silver pin stripes and a lavender lapel flower.
Virginia Taylor was the matron of honor. She wore a lavender dress and short-sleeved bolero jacket. The bride was given away by Lyle Nordmeyer. The best man was Aaron Nordmeyer.
Noah Price, the great-grandson of the groom, was the ring bearer. Yvonne Emory and Mike Lyons were the vocalist and instrumentalist for the service. Lowell Hillhouse was the photographer.
Special out-of-town guests were Juana "Julie" Rajan, the bride's sister, who came from Goa, India.
A reception followed the ceremony.
