John Norwood Connell IV died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at home from sudden infant death syndrome. He was 2 months old.

A ceremony with the burial of his ashes will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Kenai City Cemetery.

John was born July 28, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna.

His favorite things were eating, bouncing, learning and trying to walk and stand.

"Little John was amazing. He would have given anything just to be able to move, walk, crawl or even just sit up. He was a very happy baby who loved being with his family. We will love you forever and will always cherish the short time we got to spend with you. Now you're playing with the angels. We will miss you, peanut," his family said.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kevin Faulkner; great-grandmother, Mary Olds; great-grandfather, Wayne Faulkner; and great-aunts, Deborah Arness and Cheryl Espinoza.

He is survived by his parents, John N. Connell III and Ashley M. Faulkner of Nikiski; grandparents, Cindy Todd-Fallon of Kenai, Brandy Duck of Fairbanks and John Connell Jr. of Nikiski; great-grandparents, Clair Huffman of Soldotna, Gayle Miller of Kenai, Carolyn Connell of North Carolina, Pat Gentry of Oregon, Ezra Huffman of Soldotna, John Connell Sr. of Washington, Ray Olds of Kenai, Lou Gentry of Oregon, Kay Faulkner of Kenai, Rick Duck of Soldotna and Mark Miller of Kenai; aunts, Angie Todd-Catron of Texas and April Todd-Mraz of Anchorage; and uncle, Zach Faulkner of Kenai.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
