Ann M. Reid
Soldotna resident Ann M. Reid died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at her home. She was 74.
A celebration of her life was held Oct. 11 in Soldotna. Her ashes will be scattered at the Sacred Falls in Oahu, Hawaii at a later date.
Ms. Reid was born Dec. 11, 1932, to Arthur and Lucille Brown in Buffalo, N.Y. She moved to Anchorage in 1968 where she worked as an accountant for Rural Cap and Anchorage Tank and Welding. She moved to Soldotna in 1996 where she resided until her death. She enjoyed knitting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
“Ann’s nickname in Anchorage was ‘Annie Pooh’ She lived independently and was a free spirit,” her family said.
Ms. Reid is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Brown and Lucille Robinette; and grandparents, Robert and Louise Castater.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Robinette and Lucille and her husband, Fred Roll; son, and daughter in-law, Robert and Cindy Mahr; grandchildren, Michael Rodriguez and Nicole Rigalado; great-grandchildren, A.J., Gabrielle and Dominique Rigalado and Miriah Rodriguez; and sister, Carol Brown.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
