William H. 'Bill' Bujan

Kenai resident William H. Bujan died Sept. 13, 2000, at his home. He was 58.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post 20 in Kenai. Mr. Bujan's ashes were buried at Fort Richardson National Cemetery near Anchorage.

Mr. Bujan was born June 30, 1942, in Florida. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for many years until he was honorably discharged. He was a past commander of Post 20, a chaplain and Chef De Gare of the 40-and-8 Locale 1539 for the American Legion.

"Mr. Bujan served his country with distinction, his state with grace and his community with pleasure," an American Legion colleague said.

Mr. Bujan is survived by a son, Robert, of Mekoryuk, and a brother and sister.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
