Advisory committee to meet

The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet today at 7 p.m. at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture building in Kenai to discuss feeder kings and a sportfish strategic plan. For more information, call Brent at 262-4763.

Christmas auditions planned

The Kenai Performers will hold auditions for holiday-costumed gift deliverers at 3 p.m. today and on Friday at 7 p.m. for a capella Christmas carolers. Both auditions will be held at Charlotte's Restau-rant in Kenai.

The auditions are part of the performers' "Bandwagon Campaign," an ongoing fund-raising effort to secure a permanent home for the Kenai Performers. For more information, call 283-3635.

Court system to hold public hearing

The Alaska Court System will hold a public hearing Tuesday to give the public an opportunity to comment on proposed changes in Alaska's child support guidelines. It will be a teleconference hearing at the Barrow, Bethel, Homer, Kenai, Soldotna, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Sitka and Valdez Legislative Information Offices from 5 to 6 p.m. Check with the local LIO to confirm times.

Hospice group to meet

Hospice of the Central Peninsula offers a monthly grief support group, The Circle of Friends. The purpose of the group is to help bereaved individuals with a variety of losses to move and grow through grief. The next meeting will be held Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at hospice, 312 Tyee St. No. 3 in Soldotna. For more information, call Sue at 262-0453.

Chamber to hold lights tour

The Hooked on Kenai Village of Lights Holiday Tour will be Nov. 1. Residents and business owners are encouraged to hang lights before the snow arrives. Exhibitors can decorate their surroundings in holiday style for local and out-of-town shoppers who are taking the holiday tour. Small businesses may contact the Kenai Chamber of Commerce to sign up for a Santa elves workshop on a Saturday at the store's location.
