Sterling seniors to hold benefit dinner

The Sterlings seniors will hold a benefit dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the center. The evening's activities will include dinner, entertainment and prizes. The proceeds will benefit United Way. The cost for dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children 3 to 12 or $30 for families of up to two adults and four children. For more information, call 262-6808.

Women voters to gather

The League of Women Voters will meet at noon Wednesday at the Vintage Moose Tea Room. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 262-3908.

Job seminar planned

The Peninsula Job Center will hold a seminar covering the minimum wage increase, work permits, Little Davis Bacon 1 percent fee requirement and state laws. Training conference slated

The Sterling Baptist Church will host an impact training conference done by the editing staff of Regular Baptist Press from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 23. The conference is for anyone who is involved or thinking about getting involved in church ministry. Potters guild seeking entries for show

The Kenai Potters Guild is seeking entries for the Clay Art Show for Southcentral Alaskan Potters. The guild will host the show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Kenai Fine Arts Center.

Clay work must be original and completed within the past two years. The fee is $10 for up to three pieces. A 20 percent commission will be charged to sales to cover show expenses. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance charges.

SoHi craft show seeking vendors
