The staff would like to thank to the following students for sharing safety items this past week. Adaya Pollock brought a portable shovel for putting out campfires, Kayla McVeigh colored a picture about fire drills in the home, Joseph Coval drew a picture showing how to use caution with electrical cords around water, Isabelle Luze brought in telephones to practice calling 911, Jacey Ross brought volcanic ash and talked about health hazards, James Butler showed students carbon monoxide detectors and Jasmine Carter talked about an overloaded outlet.
In writing, second-graders completed their first written report using the writing process.
First-graders have been working on penmanship and are learning the writing process.
Kindergartners have been working on penmanship and are beginning creative writing in their journals.
Students being recognized this week are second-grader Ellen Groseclose for excellence in academic achievement, kindergartner Jonathan Hawkins for his enthusiasm in reading class and first-grader James Butler for improvement in math. The staff would like to congratulate to these students.
