Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday. Pictures taken in late September were sent home with students last week.

The first Lynx Tracks activity of year will be a roller-skating trip Oct. 20 and 21 in Soldotna. This fall quarter activity may be attended by all students in good standing and is tied to the schoolwide student management program. A written parent permission slip and fee of $3 per student is required to attend each quarterly activity.

The PTO is sponsoring two Halloween contests for students this month. Both events will culminate Oct. 27. Students in each grade level may elect to submit a creative writing for the "Spooky Story Contest" with an opportunity to win Book Fair Bucks. Students wishing to decorate a pumpkin also may win prizes awarded at each grade level. Judging will take place Oct. 27 to determine the grade level winners. The grand prize winner earns a ride on a sled in the Tustumena 200 ceremonial start in February.

Also, classroom parties are scheduled for the final hour Oct. 27 and the traditional costume parade of the primary classes will take place beginning at 2:15 p.m. that afternoon. Parents are invited to attend all these activities.
