Realtors were big selling point of fundraiser

Posted: Friday, October 13, 2006

Hospice of the Central Peninsula board of directors, volunteers, and staff would like to recognize and express out heartfelt gratitude to the Kenai Peninsula Association of Realtors and their affiliates. The annual Hospice Fundraiser Barbeque and Auction, held this past spring at Birch Ridge Golf Course, was a huge success, due to the incredible coordinated efforts of the Realtors and their affiliates. They volunteered many months of their valuable time seeking donations, and asking for participation from our community for the event. We appreciate Jim Brenton and Steve Crane for donating their time and labor to build the storage shed that was raffled.

Recently, at the annual Kenai Peninsula Association of Realtors meeting, Hospice was graciously presented with a check for the proceeds. We would like to acknowledge, Sam Barnes, Esther Chambers and Myla McFarland, who chaired the committee and recognize all the members who donated their time with great enthusiasm as well as a compassion for the Hospice philosophy.

Thank you to Pat and Myrna Cowan at Birch Ridge Golf Course and everyone in the community for joining together and supporting this event with your time, contributions, labor, and generosity. Hospice of the Central Peninsula has served dying persons, their families and bereaved individuals in the communities of the Kenai Peninsula since 1987. Services are available at no charge.
