Women’s conference slated
The Kenai Church of God will host a Women of Purpose Conference from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church at 14143 Kenai Spur Highway. Esther Greene, a pastor’s wife and city finance director for Kotzebue, will share a message of encouragement. It is open to the public. Childcare will be provided for children ages 1 to 6. Rapture movie showing set
Abundant Life will show the movie “Left Behind: World at War” at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in the auditorium at the church at Mile 81.5 on the Sterling Highway.
This is the third movie based on the book series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. It is open to the public.
Nikiski Bible study continues
North Star United Methodist Church Disciple I Bible study class continues from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Mondays at the church. The course is based on a model of Jesus and his 12 disciples. Twelve people will study scripture for 32 weeks. For more information, call Laura Skiba, pastor, at 776-8732.
Revelation study continues
The Kenai Church of God weekly study on the Book of Revelation continues from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays for four weeks. This study is open to the community. Discussion topics include views on the timing of the rapture, the major players of the last days and understanding the judgments. Free child care is provided. Clothes Quarters, in the back of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church parking lot at 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through October.
