Wayne A. Thomason

Former Soldotna resident Wayne A. Thomason of Clarkston, Wash., died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 in Spokane, Wash. He was 76.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston, Idaho. Rev. Steve Taulbee will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomason was born Oct. 22, 1930 to Byron and Georgia (Starcher) Thomason in Lucile, Idaho. He served in the Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953. Mr. Thomason worked for Speer/Omark Cartridges in Lewiston for 22 years before retiring in 1976. He moved to Soldotna and worked as a carpenter and builder.

Mr. Thomason was a member of VFW Post 10046 in Soldotna, American Legion Post 28 in Anchorage, and the Kenai Moose Lodge.

Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patty and brother Randy.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Lola Thomason of Lewiston, Tom and Linda Thomason of Winchester, Idaho, Bob and Pam Thomason of Brenda, Ariz., and Roger and Barbara Thomason of Portland, Ore.; sisters and brothers-in-law Ann Bacon of Portland; Barbara and Woody Jerdee of Lewiston, Wanda and Bud Hughes of Brenda, and Sharon and Warren Hartung of Portland; daughters and sons-in-law Vickie and Johnnie Patton of Culdesac, Idaho, Sandra and Randy Hoff of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Karen and David Reed of Pomeroy, Wash.; son, Mike Thomason of Clarkston; stepchildren and their spouses, Frank and Helen Keeney of Lewiston, Ruth and Justin McCarroll of Big Lake, Alaska, Corla Dale of Anchorage and Sandra and Dennis Brown of Yuma, Ariz.; numerous nephews and nieces, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
