SoHi netters drop 2 matches

Soldotna had a rough trip to the Valley.

Coming off a stretch of eight straight victories, the Stars fell in three games at Palmer on Friday and then lost in four at Colony on Saturday.

Paige Blackburn had 13 kills and six blocks, Emily Rohloff recorded 14 assists and Jessi Stenga picked up eight digs as SoHi fell to the Moose, 25-15, 25-14, 25-22.

Blackburn then had 16 kills and 15 blocks as the Stars lost to the Knights, 21-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-20.

Also for SoHi, Stenga had 14 digs, Rohloff added 26 assists, April Heffner had eight digs, Chelsea Wilbanks picked up six kills, five blocks and a pair of aces and Megan Hardy racked up five assists.

Kenai drops a pair in Valley

The Kenai volleyball team dropped two Northern Lights Conference matches this weekend. On Friday, Kenai lost to Palmer 25-19, 25-11 and 25-15. On Saturday, Kenai lost to Colony 25-16, 25-3 and 25-14.

Homer edges Wasilla

The Homer volleyball team picked up a Northern Lights Conference victory at Wasilla on Saturday. The scores were 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 19-25 and 15-9.
