ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A search for an Anchorage man missing near Hope has been suspended, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers called off their search Sunday for James Miller, 39, described as an avid outdoorsman. He has been missing since Sept. 22.

Miller's car was found in the parking area for Resurrection Trail. But troopers said they've found no other sign of him.

Friends and family members are expected to continue searching, troopers Sgt. Keith Mallard said.
