Mrs. Bryson's Class did an apple pie experiment and have been studying insects. The kindergartners will perform their favorite songs and poems in an insect-themed program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Families are encouraged to attend.
Mrs. Sheldon's and Mrs. Stroh's Kaleidoscope class will have a performance at 2 p.m. Friday in the library. Families are encouraged to attend.
Next week is Fire Safety Week.
There will be early dismissal at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 24. Kindergarten students will have a special schedule, and parents should check with classroom teachers.
Mrs. Knudson's and Mrs. Lafferty class will go on a field trip to the Anchorage Museum to visit the SUE T-Rex exhibit and the Imaginaruim on Oct. 24.
Students recently studied the footprint of an Alaska hadrasaur found in the Aniakchak National Park in 2001. They looked at pictures on the Internet, read books and made pictures, nests, eggs and plants from the prehistoric time period.
Officer George from the Kenai Police Department will hand out Halloween bags Oct. 27.
Bus safety will be held on Oct. 28.
The annual Halloween parade will be Oct. 29. Parents and families are invited to attend.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Oct. 30 and 31. There will be no school these days. Sign-up sheets will be available soon from classroom teachers.
