Posted: Wednesday, October 15, 2003

Thanks to the Dena'ina Dental Clinic and Dr. Nesbitt, Kris Smith and Jani Trammel for donating the time and energy to perform 52 dental screenings last week.

Thanks, also, to the tribe for welcoming students and staff at the beach site and greenhouse. Thanks to Janet Shapely and Paxton Oder for their time and support.

Thanks to Diane Taylor of Kenai Peninsula College for presenting to families at family night.

The school is looking forward to a visit from Central Emergency Services' "Learn Not to Burn" puppet show.

Corey Hall from the Kenai Community Library will offer story time for the students.

Brenda Trefon and the Kenaitze Indian Tribe's Cultural Heritage staff will begin monthly visits to the classrooms.

Head Start will celebrate fall and Halloween with classroom crafts and activities Oct. 31.

Parent-teacher conferences will be Oct. 27 and Nov. 11.

The school had its review by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and received a perfect score. Thanks to the cook, Ms. Gert.
