I'm just puzzled why the new charter school gets lunch services and bus services all to itself? Why didn't the school board offer part of the building to Aurora Borealis Charter School to share its services?
Currently ABCS shares space with Boys and Girls Club and Kenai Alternative High School with no "extra" services provided. Any parent of a student at ABCS is also aware of the parking nightmare to get in and out of the building to pick up students.
I see no reason ABCS couldn't share the old Sears building and services smoothly. Plus, the staff deserves it since the have managed to produce the highest test scores with the least amount of space or services.
