Saint Luke Lutheran Church offers several faith strengthening opportunities during the week. The parish's Wednesday 10:30 a.m. fellowship/study is focusing on Leviticus. The group attempts to cover one chapter a session and meets at 48095 Andrews Avenue for approximately one hour.

Soldotna Day Aglow will start a fall Bible study called "The Love Revolution" by Joyce Meyers.
The focus will be on what love is and how to put it into action. The study will be held at Peninsula Christian Center behind the Salvation Army in Soldotna and will meet every Wednesday. Classes for anyone interested in the Catholic Church will be held each Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The classes are held in O'Neill Hall on Redoubt Avenue at 6:30 p.m. each week. Those attending will learn about the teaching of the Church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples.

On Nov. 1 Brad Sherrill will present a live performance and multimedia, bringing the words of Isaiah and Jeremiah to life, creating an extraordinary evening of theater. Sherrill is an Atlanta-based professional actor and performer who gained recognition with his off-Broadway and subsequent national touring performance of The Gospel of John. Between 2001 and 2007, Sherrill's one-person live performance of the fourth New Testament gospel (which Sherrill memorized and performs in its 20,000 word entirety) appeared over 600 times in cathedrals, churches and profession theaters across Europe, Canada, and the United States, including a performance in Soldotna.
"Prophets" is his new work, a one-person performance utilizing texts from the Books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Amos. It is blended with the poetry to the Old Testament Prophets and multi-media, to be relevant to those of us living at the beginning of the 21st Century. "Prophets" deals with the great Biblical themes. It runs 95 minutes without intermission.
The performance will be held at Soldotna United Methodist Church on Binkley. Advance tickets are encouraged. Admission for adults is $15 and students, seniors, and military, $10. For more information call 283-7469.
Every first and third Sunday of every month, seventh- through 12th-graders are invited to hang out at the Peninsula Grace Brethren Church youth center from 6 to 8 p.m. to showcase their talent from singing to beatboxing and poetry, or simply to hang out and enjoy a beverage from its coffee shop.
