Longtime Nikiski resident Diane Lynn LaVigueur died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, with her family by her side at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. She was 56.
No services will be held per Diane's request.
Mrs. LaVigueur was born March 24, 1953, in Baker City, Ore. She moved to Alaska in 1976 living in Petersburg for six years until moving to Nikiski in 1982. She was the lifeguard at the Nikiski pool from 1988 to 2004. From 2004 until the time of her death she worked the scale at Solid Waste in Soldotna.
She is survived by her husband, Lee E. LaVigueur of Nikiski; sons, Benjamin LaVigueur, of Nikiski and Gabriel LaVigueur, of Maui, Hawaii.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alaska Women's Resource and Crisis Center, 610 c Street Suite 2A Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3553. 907-276-0528.
