Support made bonfire a roaring success

Posted: Tuesday, October 17, 2006

The KCHS student council would like to take this opportunity to thank the many parents, businesses and community members that helped to make this year’s homecoming activities a great success.

Special thanks needs to go out to the following businesses: ACS, Enstar, Home Depot, and Safeway of Soldotna for donating pallets for the bonfire; Key Bank for allowing us to do our parade lineup in front of their bank; Carlile Trucking for providing and driving flatbeds in the parade for the football teams; Kenai Chrysler for donating the use of vehicles for the royalty to ride in; Arby’s, Pizza Boys, Radio Shack, and the Orca Theatre for donating prizes for the bonfire activities; the Kenai fire and police departments for helping with the parade and bonfire; Keith Kornelis and the City of Kenai for restacking our bonfire pile after it was prematurely set on fire; and finally, a very special thank you to Sean Cude and S&R Enterprises for delivering pallets to the bonfire pile on a one day’s notice so that we in fact could have a bonfire.

Thanks again to everyone for all that do for the young people of our community.
