2000 WINNER: Dale Earnhardt.
PICKED TO WIN: Mark Martin.
OTHERS TO WATCH: Every car in the 43-car field.
NOTES: The posted awards at $3,535,901 ... The special rules that restrict engine speed and create aerodynamic drag essentially makes every car in the race equal. Because of that, the winner will be the person who puts himself in position to be out front as the running order shuffles every lap. A year ago, for example, Dale Earnhardt was 18th with five laps to go and he won. It's common to lead a lap, fall back to 20th and eventually get back up front again . This Sunday's race marks the anniversary of Earnhardt's final victory.
