Little writer has big thanks for CES puppet show

Posted: Wednesday, October 18, 2006

On Tuesday, Oct. 10, CES came to Soldotna’s Creative Play and Preschool to do a puppet show on fire safety. This letter was “written” by Clara Moore, age 4, to thank Captain Bernie for his part in the event.

“Dear Captain Burney, I think clowns are funny. Thank you for being a clown to teach me about fires. I learned to stop, drop, and roll, and to get out and stay out. I learned to cover my face too, that’s rule No. 4. I learned to not touch matches. They are not safe. I also liked all the firemen that came to do the puppet show. It was fun. We all got to practice stop, drop, and roll alot! The smoke alarm puppet was loud and went “ding-a-ling-a-ling!” I know to go outside now when I hear it. Thank you for the puppet show. Firemen are great. Please come back to my class again real soon. Thank you for helping keep us safe.
