Home school fellowship set

Nikiski Home School Fellowship will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Nikiski Nazarene Church. Participants are asked to bring six to 10 pressed fall leaves. For more information, call Heidi Hall at 776-5104.

Flood meeting planned in Seward

The Kenai Peninsula Borough and city of Seward will hold a community flood meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the IMS Auditorium at 125 Third Avenue in Seward.

The topics will be: What has been done; what is ongoing; what to expect in the immediate future; damage assessment process; and public assistance that can be expected. For more information, call 262-4910.

Disabled vets to meet

Sharks to be investigated

Kenai Community Library will discuss shark behaviors and habits from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Nov. 9.

Colon cancer to be discussed

Central Peninsula General Hospital’s Dine and discuss series will feature Dr. John Bramante, an internal medicine specialist, who will discuss colon cancer at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Paradisos Restaurant in Kenai.
