A walk amidst the trees
The splendor there one sees,
In wonder you behold
The wide-ranging shades of gold.
Translucent the leaves emerge,
When sun rays kiss them with loving verve.
And after the rain is done,
The leaves display tiny drops of diamonds.
Assorted red and brown color hues on the ground,
Embossing the landscape distinct and profound.
Various green colors are still abound
Mixed between that golden splendor,
And you wish it never ended.
When you walk around the bend
The terrain opens up wide to heaven’s end,
And there you’ll see small golden domes
Tinged here and there with red rows,
Spread out among the deep green pine trees;
Yes, indeed, Nature’s Paintbrush
In Alaska is there for you to enjoy,
And that entire splendor is free.
