The Kenai and Soldotna chambers of commerce will hold a joint luncheon today from noon to 1 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center to discuss State Bonding Prop A, Veterans Residential Mortgage Bonds; State Bonding Prop B, General Obligation Facility Bonds; and Ballot Measure Number 1, increasing the number of legislators.

Kenai Peninsula College's financial aid office and the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District counselors will co-host the fourth annual Financial Aid Night at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Soldotna Sports Center.
The event is geared toward high school juniors and seniors and their parents, however all high school students and parents may attend.

Bright Ideas- The Art and Science of Candle Making, workshop invites you to learn candle making. The workshop will consist of making five candles to take home, a complete information packet including a step-by-step guide, tips and tricks, as well as a supply resources guide.
