Victor J. Kelly

Ninilchik resident Victor J. Kelly died October 18, 2000, at South Peninsula Hospital Long Term Care in Homer. He was 92.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Russian Orthodox Church in Ninilchik. Father Sergie Active will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kelly was born Oct. 5, 1908, in Ninilchik, to James and Irene Kelly. He served in the U.S. Army on the Aleutian Islands. He worked as a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the church and the American Legion in Ninilchik. He enjoyed raising flowers, sport fishing and camping.

Mr. Kelly is survived by nieces, Viola Hansen, of Anchor Point, and June Hardy, of Fairbanks; and nephew Carl Kelly Sr. of Ninilchik. He is also survived by numerous grandnieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Russian Orthodox Church Building Fund, Ninilchik, AK 99639.
