A Kasilof woman was indicted by the Kenai grand jury Thursday afternoon in the shooting death of her boyfriend.

Betsy Hester, 50, was charged with one count of second-degree murder, for allegedly killing John E. Clark, 49, of Kasilof.

Hester called Alaska State Troopers at 1:47 a.m. Oct. 4, reportedly saying she had shot Clark. The two lived together in the vicinity of Pollard Loop Road.

Troopers and Central Emer-gency Services medics responded to the call and Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation revealed the shooting happened following a domestic dispute.

Troopers said Clark had been shot with a semi-automatic pistol.

If convicted, Hester could be sentenced to between five and 99 years in jail and fined up to $75,000.

Hester is in custody at Wild-wood Pretrial Facility.
