League of Women Voters forum provides opportunity to learn

Posted: Wednesday, October 20, 2004

Have you ever picked up your ballot, walked through the curtains into the voting booth, opened the envelope and stared at the names.

Who are these people, anyway? What are their priorities? Their motivations for running? Are they competent?

We are fortunate in our community to have chamber of commerce forums and radio interviews with candidates.

We have another opportunity this week at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Borough Building.

The Senate candidates from District Q and the House Representatives candidates from Districts 33 and 34 will be there. Come have a cup of coffee and listen to the answers of questions generated by the League of Women Voters, then ask a few of your own.

Look at that ballot on Nov. 2 and know for whom you are voting and why.
