Cook Inlet Academy

The student council will hold a spirit week for each sport. Jenna Zufelt, student council president, and officers Blake Gabriel, Ramsey Arneson, Tristan Leiter and Lindsay Bauder are planning end-of-quarter activities along with the annual Thanksgiving feast.

Student of the week awards go to: Liam Selden, for having a big forgiving heart; Hallie Symington, for being helpful after school; Connor Leaf, for super reading; Drew Fowler, for doing a great job on a times test; Haley Miller, for fantastic behavior and attitude; Cole Gross, for having a prayerful heart; Kaycee Munn, for consistently staying on task; Angela Uchtman, for having a spirit sensitive to the Lord; Phillip Wisenewski, for great improvement in attitude; and Kelsey Brush, for keeping up on homework.

Dates to remember are:

Today End of first quarter;

Thursday and Friday In-service days (no school);

Thursday through Saturday Volleyball tournament in Anchorage at Lumen Christi;

Monday Junior high basketball at 4:30 p.m. at the school;

Tuesday Junior high basketball at Chapman and volleyball at 4:30 p.m. at the school; and

Oct. 28-29 Parent-teacher conferences.
