The school's sixth-grade team is to be congratulated for placing first in this year's Mind-a-Maze competition at Soldotna Middle School. The team of Jason Johnson, Wesley Matthews, Daniel Rozak and Erik Skjold were the only group in the junior division to succeed in meeting all the scoring criteria in the event. They also received the Judge's Choice award for their creativity and teamwork. Quest instructor, Cathleen Rolph, mentored the boys in preparing for the competition.

Mr. Michael's fourth-grade class traveled to the Bear Creek Hatchery last week to transport 250 fertilized salmon eggs for incubation and eventual hatching in the classroom aquarium next spring. The class would like to thank the parent chaperones and drivers who assisted Mr. Michael on this field trip: Fritz Wolk, Judy Johnson, Joy Skjold, Tammy Clancy, David Brewer, Jenni Larson, Tammy Flanders, Marylee Koch and Susan Perletti.

Parent-teacher conference appointment forms have been sent home with students. Parents are asked to confirm these appointments by returning the bottom portion of the form to your child's teacher. Should parents desire to change their appointment day or time, they are asked to call their child's instructor.
