The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is forming a committee to review how the budget is put together. Suggestions for changes or improvements to the Fiscal Year 2012 budget will also be discussed.
Assistant Superintendent Dave Jones said the group will likely meet just once for an all-day event in an effort to pull members of the community into the discussion.
"One of the objectives is that when we talk about the budget we want people to know the facts," Jones said.
While there is an application process, Jones said he welcomed all participants.
"I don't plan on this being an exclusive committee," he said.
The Budget Development Committee, as it's being called, will meet in the Borough Assembly Chambers on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2.
