Anthony 'Tony' Scot Vance

Gillette, Wyo., resident Anthony “Tony”Scot Vance died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, in Campbell County, Wyo. He was 21.

Funeral services were held Sept. 2, 2005, at Lazy BW Ranch in Ranchester, Wyo. Marty Crump officiated. Burial was at the Lazy BW Ranch.

Mr. Vance was born Aug. 18, 1984, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Sammie (Renfrow) Hulm and Bret Vance. He attended school in Alaska, Arizona and Wyoming. He worked as a roustabout pusher for RCR Well Services in Gillette, Wyo.

“Tony enjoyed snowboarding, bowhunting and music. He also loved helping Papa (Sam) with all kinds of projects. He spent summers at the Lazy BW Ranch with great-granddad (Walt) running all the farming equipment. Tony brought joy and light to all his family and everyone he met. He was always taking care of his mom and sister. Tony, we will always love and miss you,” his family said.

Mr. Vance was preceded in death by his aunt, Suzy Renfrow; and cousin, Derrick David.

He is survived by his mother, Sammie (Renfrow) Hulm; sister, Jamie Isabell; stepfather, Todd Hulm of Goodyear, Ariz.; father and stepmother, Bret and Troylene Vance of Larmie, Wyo.; brother, Sean Vance of Boise, Idaho; maternal grandparents, Sam and Elaine Renfrow of Sterling; grandmother, Pennie Vance of Sheridan; great-grandparents, Walt and Annie Belish of Ranchester; aunt and uncle, Nina and Guy Stone; and cousins, Ezra and Thomas Stone of Palmer and Christal and Cody David of Montana.

Arrangements were made by Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette.
