FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A 56-year-old Anchorage man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the Dalton Highway, Alaska State Troopers said.
The body of James Reynolds was discovered late Friday night pinned beneath his Ford F-250 pickup truck near mile 44 of the highway, troopers said.
Reynolds worked for GBR Equipment, an Anchorage-based oil field services company, and was on his way home from Deadhorse, troopers said.
Reynolds was likely thrown from his truck when it rolled down a steep embankment, located near S curves of the rough road.
The accident scene was discovered by a security patrol unit from Alyeska Pipeline Service Co.
Troopers said they found no evidence Reynolds was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. The investigation is continuing.
