Getting involved

Posted: Monday, October 22, 2001

The Kenai Central High School Interact Club recently inducted 32 new members, bringing the total club membership up to 52. The KCHS Interact Club is sponsored in part by the Kenai Rotary Club as part of the club's efforts to engage the youth of our community in public service through club activities.

Interact Club planned projects for this year include making care baskets for the Women's Resource and Crisis Center, cleaning local parks and flower beds, bell ringing during the holidays for the Salvation Army and a clothing drive for orphanages in foreign countries. Pictured are Katherine Amen, president of KCHS Interact Club, Barry Eldridge, president of Kenai Rotary Club, and Hank Overturf, Interact Club sponsor and Kenai Rotary Club member.
