Aurora Borealis Charter

Lt. Gov. Loren Leman visited the school Oct. 1. The children were able to talk with him.

The Aurora Borealis Lego Robotics team is gearing up for the December competition. Team members Maya Chay, Marquee Lucas, Abby Chadwick, Alex McDonald, Alex Kauffman, Will McDermid, Mac Kimbrell, Zac Kooly, Logan Sutton, Dillon Ball, Matt Parker and Logan Haralson will attempt Mars missions with robots they construct and program. Team coaches are Lee Chadwick, Doug Haralson and Suzi and Craig Phillips. Thanks to Cindy Haralson for bringing an alpaca into the school to visit. Mrs. Ball's kindergartners are studying South America, and the Alpaca was a welcome visitor.

The second-graders are learning about world geography. They are enjoying using Vis-a-Vis markers to label the continents on their write-on and wipe-off maps.

The quarter is quickly coming to an end. Parents, make sure to check in the office and sign up for conferences.
