Kalifornsky Beach Elementary

Mr. Daniels' class took a field trip to the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge to take part in a brand new field trip about "How Humans and Bears Interact."

Today, there will be a primary puppet show about fire prevention.

The school will sponsor a Bingo for Books family night from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Students will be released from school at 12:55 p.m. Friday.

The annual "Veterans Wall of Honor" will be displayed in the commons hall beginning Monday.

Mrs. Furlong's class is studying European countries. A country fair is being planned. More information to come.

Mrs. Tobin's class is wrapping up its study on the salmon cycle by creating a large hanging mobile of the salmon cycle in the classroom. The students also are creating watercolor books containing salmon stories written from the fish's perspective.

First-graders are continuing to research information about Alaska animals. The teachers would like to thank parents for helping with the research at home and sharing it with the class.
