Mr. Kircher's students have been studying earthquakes and volcanoes. The students found plenty of Alaska examples to use for discussion. The exploration of the volcanic crater on Mount Spur was featured in their book. Parents are encouraged to ask their students to describe the process that causes Mount Redoubt to erupt.
The Innisbrook wrapping paper orders are in and will be given to parents during parent-teacher conferences. Buying the Innisbrook materials will make it possible for the school to fund a one hour playground aide to increase playground safety and a two hour library aide to staff our library for students. The staff would like to thank everyone who took part.
Gymnastics is coming in November. Physical education teacher and accomplished gymnast, Lisa Juliussen, will instruct students during the month. There will be an after-school program for intermediate students announced shortly.
