Kenai Cooperative Preschool

Posted: Wednesday, October 22, 2003

The preschoolers have had an exciting month of learning. They have studied teeth, fire safety, poetry, voting, Thomas Edison and electricity.

The preschoolers in both the Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday classes will find their way through the hay maze at Solid Rock Bible Camp and then warm up with a bonfire and hot chocolate today and Thursday. Remember to bring $5 for the hay maze and dress warm. Kids need hats, gloves and coats for outside play time.

On Friday, kids will participate in "bone-chilling" activities, such as eating homemade ice cream and labeling their own giant skeletons.

The theme for Monday and Tuesday is "Spiders, Pumpkins and Bats ... Oh My!" Preschoolers will marble roll spider webs and do a bat dance at music time. On Oct. 29 and 30, there will be Halloween parties with cookie frosting, pumpkin carving and pumpkin-shaped beanbag sewing.

Thanks to Dr. Rohloff for donating toothbrushes for Dental Week.
