Seniors serve up breakfast

The Nikiski Senior Center will host an all- you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at the center. Buffet includes beverages. The cost of admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 10 and $2 for children ages 2 to 4.

Domestic violence workshop set

The LeeShore Center will hold a community awareness workshop on domestic violence and sexual assault Monday through Friday in its community meeting room. The topics will be how the dynamics of a community's response to domestic violence and sexual assault impacts victims and community resources available to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Continuing education credit may be applied for through Kenai Peninsula College. For more information and times for the workshop, call 283-9479.

Used book sale planned

Soldotna Public Library volunteers will hold a used book sale from 1 to 4:30 pm. Wednesday at at the library.

The library is accepting donations of books and puzzles in good condition. For more information, call 262-4227.

LeeShore board meeting slated

The LeeShore Center will hold a board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the conference room at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center at 1147 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. It is open to the public. For more information, call 283-9479.

CPGH board meeting slated

The Central Peninsula General Hospital Inc. board of directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Iliamna Conference room at the hospital. It is open to the public. For more a copy of the agenda visit www.cpgh.org.

Basketball camp set to shoot

North Peninsula Recreation and Nikiski High School basketball team will hold a youth basketball camp for youth in grades three through six from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Nikiski High School. For more information, call Tammy at 776-8800.

National Guard to host party

Sports swap gears up

Kenai Sports Swap will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in the lunch room at Kenai Central High School. Items may be dropped off from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in the lunch room. Waxing will be available. For information, call Larry or Susan Semmens 262-9022.

Craft vendors sought

Soldotna High School will host its annual craft fair Nov. 11 and 12 in the commons. There are still openings for vendor booths. For more information, call 262-2892.

GED help available in Ninilchik

Terri Cowart, ABE instructor with Kenai Peninsula College, will be available to help community members interested in earning their GED or improving English and math skills from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ninilchik Traditional Council and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ninilchik library on the following dates: Nov. 8, Jan. 10, Feb. 7. March 7 and April 4.
