ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage man was arrested after allegedly entering a man's home, demanding drugs, then fleeing in a car and forcing the driver to evade police.

Anwar Wheeler, 22, was charged with first-degree robbery, kidnapping, third-degree assault and third-degree misconduct involving weapons. He is being held at the Cook Inlet Pre-Trial Facility without bail.

Wheeler allegedly entered the home, demanded marijuana from the resident and threatened him with a gun. The resident's wife saw what was happening and called police.

Wheeler then left the home and got into a car driven by Nathan Bohlman, pointed a gun at him and ordered him to drive, according to charging documents. The car eventually was stopped by spike strips.

Wheeler was arrested after attempting to flee on foot.
