KRSMA board looks for new members

Posted: Thursday, October 25, 2001

The Kenai River Special Management Area Advisory Board is recruiting applicants for two vacancies on the board.

The KRSMA board is made up of 17 members representing the general public, including land owners, business owners, sport fishers, commercial fishing interests and persons interested in habitat restoration and protection. Other members represent the various state and federal agencies and municipalities involved in managing the Kenai River's resources. Board members are hoping to locate prospective board members who may be involved in guiding on the Kenai River or be able to represent interests from the upper Kenai River watershed in the Cooper Landing area, but will consider all applications from interested persons.

Interested people may request an application from the Alaska State Parks office by calling 262-5581.
