Parents help students have safe, fun time at outdoors camp

I would like to thank all of the parents that came to our sixth-grade outdoors camp with us. I would also like to thank Scott and Justin, who work at Camp Carlquist and let us go there.

At camp, we learned survival skills, like how to build a fire and a shelter to stay dry. We also learned first aid, like how to bandage someone and how to perform CPR. I think what we learned at camp is pretty important when you live in Alaska.

I would specifically like to thank Mrs. Blumenshine for donating water and juice. Although she couldn't be there, she helped us a lot.

Thanks also to Mrs. Magiera who packed lunches for the way to camp. She went out of her way to make lunches for us. They were very good, Mrs. Magiera!

Another person who took a big part in this is Mrs. Howard, our school nurse. She helped us learn first aid. She also taught the way of life for predators and prey. Thank you, Mrs. Howard, for all of your participation!

I would like to thank all of the parents for driving, supervising, cleaning and helping in general. I had a safe and fun time at camp, thanks to the parents that came.
