Volunteers sought for breakfast programs

Love INC is seeking church volunteers to help serve breakfast at Redoubt and Sears elementary schools Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 9 a.m. To volunteer at Redoubt, contact Diane Bush at 262-8570. To volunteer at Sears, contact Lynda Yoder at 283-5937.

Anchorage man to serve as interim pastor

The Soldotna Church of the Nazarene has called the Rev. Don McCullough of Anchorage to serve as its interim pastor. The change was necessary when Pastor Michael Staton and his family moved to Colorado to be with their son Bryan, who is receiving cancer treatment in Denver. McCullough has pastored in North pole, Anchorage and Kodiak. He has been active in a number of chaplaincies, such as pipeline construction camps, police and fire departments, FBI and state correctional facilities.

Reformation services planned Sunday

Reformation services will be held Sunday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church on Ciechanski Road in Kenai. The services celebrate the return of paradoxical biblical truths. Services will be held at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The latter service includes guest speaker the Rev. Tom Unke of Spokane, Wash., and mass choirs, adult and children's. Also, a sit-down dinner will be held following the afternoon service.

Kids Harvest Carnival scheduled Wednesday

Kenai New Life Assembly of God Church in Kenai will host its annual Harvest Carnival for ages 3 to 11 Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Games, food and prizes are planned. The church is at 209 Princess St. For more information, call 283-7752.

Bible classes to start in November

Kenai Fellowship Church will hold a 10-week Sunday morning Bible class based on Philip Yancey's book, "Where is God When it Hurts?" The class will run from Nov. 4 to Jan. 6 and is from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Worship services begin at 11 a.m. For more information, call Rick Cupp at 283-7682.

SolFirst to offer additional service

Soldotna First Assembly of God Church will begin its Daybreak Morning Worship service Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m. The service is different from the 10:30 a.m. service and is designed to give worshipers another option for worship. It features a more familiar style of music and a unique message designed especially for this service.
