Michael Morgana Frye and Christopher Jay Meyer were married at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at the historic Elsinore Theater in Salem, Ore. Maryann Kirk, mother of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of H.L. and Maryann Kirk of Whiteville, Ark. She works for works for Companion Pet Clinic in Salem.
She wore a sheer white, ankle-length sleeveless knit gown with satin underlay and a boatneck collar that was made by her mother. She also had a sheer, white, beaded scarf draped from the front neckline over the shoulders, white Converse shoes and a bouquet of purple hydrangeas, statice and hydrangeas leaves.
The groom is the son of Neil and Jill Meyer of Salem. He works for Skyline Ford in Keizer, Ore. He wore a black tuxedo, silver vest, purple tie and black Converse shoes.
The matron of honor was Chrissy Bell of Anchorage. She wore a purple, knee-length dress with with short sleeves and a V-neck collar.
Trevor Wilks of Salem was the best man.
Rachel Spooner, the groom's cousin, was the flower girl and Adam Meyer, the groom's brother, was the ring bearer.
Guests included William Anglin of Oroville, Calif., the bride's grandfather; Sharon Landers of Oroville, the bride's aunt; Willene and Gordon Peterson and Marian Meyer, all of Salem, Leslie Baker of Nikiski and Shannon Bell of Anchorage.
The couple lives in Salem. For their honeymoon, they took a short trip to the retro Meredith Motel on the Columbia River in Hood River, Ore.
