ANCHORAGE (AP) -- More than 280 marijuana plants have been seized in a series of recent raids in the Mat-Su area, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers and local police found 179 plants in two Houston homes Oct. 17. They also seized weapons, growing equipment, vehicles and $7,500 in cash.
On Tuesday, three more homes were raided.
Investigators found a commercial marijuana growing operation in Wasilla with 91 plants, growing equipment and supplies, and in a second Wasilla home they seized processed marijuana, weapons and $11,000 in cash.
Then they raided a Palmer home and seized 14 large plants along with processed marijuana and growing equipment.
