Soldotna chamber to discuss borough plan

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon Tuesday at the Riverside House. The topic of discussion will be the Kenai Peninsula Borough Comprehensive Plan. The featured speaker will be Matt Hastie, consultant team leader. He will be introduced by Crista Cady-Hippchen, project manager of KPB planning. For more information, call Shanon at 262-9814.

Parents support group to meet

A Parents Anonymous support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bridges Community Center next to Buckets in Soldotna. There is no fee. Incorporating, partnership workshop planned

The Kenai Peninsula Small Business Development Center will hold a workshop titled "Incorporating and Partnership" from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the center at the Red Diamond Mall on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The fee is $15. For more information, call 262-7497.

Swim workout offered

The pool at Skyview High School will offer adult fitness swimming workouts Wednesday nights beginning in November. For more information, call Cathy at 262-3905.

Cheerleaders holding food drive

The Skyview and Soldotna High School cheerleaders are collecting canned and dried goods for the Food Bank of Alaska.

The cheerleaders will attend the state cheerleading competition Nov. 6 and 7, where they will compete for a community service award. For more information, call Misty at Skyview or Jen Rosin at SoHi.

SoHi craft show seeking vendors

Social Security rep to visit peninsula

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the peninsula at the following locations and times: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Seward City Council chambers; noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.
